The Power of The Sea…

Hi Everyone,

We are in for a spell of rough weather again and travelling around the coast all the time I get reminded of the sheer power of the sea. Part of the Rosemarkie Caravan Park was literally eaten away by a storm surge a while ago, meaning around 6 less places at the site now. Visiting our Scottish Dolphin Centre at Spey Bay can give you a great view of the Moray Firth, part of the larger, and often wild North Sea – views like in the photo below that I took from the shingle near the shoreline.

Please be careful if you are out and about near the coast – strong winds can be dangerous as can trying to get dramatic photos of big crashing waves. The power of the sea is not to be trifled with.

Some dolphins still around in the distance but not much happening within camera range just at the moment. Good tides coming up soon and there are still herring about so, weather depending – I’ll be out there with the camera gear to see who I can see.

Best Wishes,

Charlie.
